Playing in a correspondence chess game I wondered whether to go for Center game or Scotch or Scotch gambit, so I decided to look at the Lichess opening book. While browsing through the options I noticed the surprising 1.e4 e5 2.d4 d5?! ... which I never saw before.
Looking a bit further I saw 4 games in the Masters database, of which only one was won by white, so I had a look at that one game (Featuring GM Grivas with black who back then in 1979 was probably not a titled player at 2200 rating).
And guess what ? A few hours later someone played exactly the same line in a 3+2 blitz tourney game !!
So ... I knew what to do : 3.d4xe5!
The 3+2 tourney game :
