Fantasy Chess

Hey all. I'd like to propose a chess variant: fantasy Chess. The variant would work as follows:
There would be an extra "setup" game phase where players take turns placing a piece in a square on the 2 rows closest to them. They can place say 40 points worth of pieces.
There are additional pieces to choose from. Examples:
Cannon (from Chinese chess) moves like a rook, but to take must jump over a piece. (Value about 4 points)
Wizard - moves like a king OR may teleport to a vacant square (about 10 points)
Troll-moves up to 2 squares in any direction (including Knight moves) cannot move through an attached square and cannot move if the square occupied is attached. Cannot be taken (the troll turns to stone when attached) (value 8 points?)
Pikeman. Like a pawn but takes directly ahead. Promotes to a knight. (1 point?)
...there are many other possibilities. One idea is to have different types of king (such as a Chinese chess king that moves only diagonally and cannot leave a 'palace'. This would be cheaper than a normal king.
Discuss?
I think it will be a great idea
But normal king is better than chinese king
And ya more pieces and be suggested
Like dragon-12 points
It can jump over(flyover)anything for as many squares it wants and can move vertically or horizontally one at one move(forgive me for my fascination of dragons)
And it can be set-up in cyvasse style(hiding the layout from ur opponent before starting the game)
@RogerMore
The King in Chinese Chess cannot move diagonally, just either horizontally or vertically. The two Advisors are the ones who can only move diagonally.
@kleineme I stand corrected. It's been a while since I had a game. That notwithstanding a 'cheaper' fantasy Chess king could have limitations such as only diagonal, or only vertical/horizontal moves.
@TheUnbreakable I like the dragon idea. Fantasy Chess should of course have dragons. I do not understand it's move though. Can you clarify? How the pieces operate is something to consider carefully. For example wizards can be drawish--a wizard teleports to attack, other side teleports to defend... Repeat. One possible solution would be to only have 1 wizard. If one side chooses the wizard, it is not available to the other. I am not familiar with cyvasse. I have played a game called Stratego which has a setup like you suggest. I personally favour the open setup where nothing is hidden. Then the setup faze is more 'chesslike'
I agree @RogerMore It's more chesslike to show pieces
That's why I am saying
Make formation yourself
Hide the formation till your opponent have made the formation too
Now when both players will start the game, formation will be visible to both till the end
And yeah wizard idea needs more working,it isn't good till now
Dragon's move
It can fly over enemy pieces once
Horizontally-vertically or diagonally in one move
So it's moves are similar of queen just it can jump over one enemy piece in one turn
