Puzzle 69821

Perhaps there is something I am not seeing here...

The opening puzzle position seems straightforwards, blacks bishop is hanging on E7, so I take it. Blacks response is to steel the pawn on g2, attacking both rook and knight.

I sat and thought about it for a while, castling queenside gives up the knight, I thought the solution must be King to e2 as it seems the only way to protect both pieces, but it says that castling is the correct move.

If 15...Qxf3 16. Rd8 Rxd8 17. Qd8#
So first black has to move the bishop on c8 to avoid the mate.
If 15, ...Qxf3 16. Rd8 QxH8

If the rook or the knight blocks the queen takes and the bishop is moved to connect rooks.
If the king runs then Q to e2 check diverts the queen from the defense of the rook.

I see though that by protecting with the king the queen and the king are on the same file, after pinning the knight with the bishop it is possible to skewer the king.

Maybe after doing so many puzzles I have just gone blind.
