I want to know how many times a player has a permission to sign up with different names.

I Think player sign up with different accounts. His username is Legendary-X . His previous two accounts are (Awesome-Chess-Legend , Unbeatable-Legend)
There isn't a limit per se, but if the amount of accounts becomes egregious - say, 50-100+ with very little games in any - we'll probably ban you. This usually happens for one of a few reasons:

1. You're boosting accounts (for some reason): you purposely loose to yourself with successive accounts to gain points.

2. You ditch the account the moment you loose a game, then create a new one.

3. You like solving the chess captcha when creating accounts, and you never use any of the accounts.

Basically, don't be an arse and abuse the system, and you'll be fine.
Not directly. "You" is the the reader, if 'you' are reading this then 'you' should take note of this.
And if "you" are not reading this... *mind blown*
Fascinating possibilities, both fair and unfair. For example, my son has had several accounts here and used my laptop to set them up and, sometimes, to play. My brother and ex stepson also have accounts here. We could potentially all show up as the same person :D

I think they should bring in an email verification system. It wouldn't stop multiple accounts, but it'd make them more awkward.

You could, of course, have 1 account per computer and get a tablet company to sponsor it as everyone would suddenly be out there buying tablets for their other halves and teenage sons to play lichess on :D
