Seeking With White

The idea that you can only seek to play white in a rated game seems like it can, and is, being abused. Players are only playing with the first move and i believe it gives them an unfair advantage. You may say that this is rather insignificant, but if it doesn't matter why are people seeking like this?
It seems to me that this simply shouldn't be allowed in rated games.
I dont see the point of your topic... you dont have to play with them in the first place
still it is frustrating to see players only playing the easier half of chess and gaining rating because of it even if it is against other players
To keep the entire rating system more authentic, I think it would help to make it impossible to play rated games when you're only playing as white.

Actually, I played here for weeks before I knew what the little symbol meant that says who's gonna be which colour. I wonder how many games I played where I had no idea I was gonna be black by my opponent's choice?
Good players can play both colors, let some only practice as white if they want. If you play someone who is 1600 as white but 1100 as black, just learn to play black. Against those players, I suggest learning the hippopotamus defense. It sucks, white does have an advantage, but its a very closed and annoying opening.
I recall there being a thing that displayed rating as white and rating as black on your profile which was removed a while ago. But I don't think the option to choose your colour in rated games should be allowed. If you only want to play as white then you can play casual, no need to distort the rating system for everyone else.
Non-issue from my perspective.

The advantage that white has in standard chess is insignificant, but I'm glad that certain variants disallow the choice.
