Hart House Chess Club

'Where the Kibitzer is King'

The Hart House Chess Club offers a friendly gathering place for chess-playing UofT students of all skill levels. We seek to build community and learning opportunities around the game of chess both at the University of Toronto and throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The club organizes regular internal competitions, lectures and open tournaments as well as regular weekly play.

This is our official lichess.org team page. After returning from COVID-19, although we do not meet as often online, we do occasionally run online events. As of May 2022, we are back in-person in the Hart House Reading Room on Fridays from 4 pm - 11 pm.
