I want to hear cool german music

Not a fan of new music, doesn't fit your specific pop format, you're cool i wish i only listened to cool music like you.

I wonder why ACR travels the world to share the music he digs out, whereas you go to non-music forums feigning interest in music suggestions so you can showcase just how sick your taste in music is. Then again all of your suggestions can be heard on any classic hits station in the next half hour, and you admit to not looking for new music, not a lot of bookings for dj grandad? sadface
To me the best (punk) album ever produced is "Nina Hagen band" by
wait for it......
the Nina Hagen band.
:-)

It would be worth it to learn the German language just to understand the lyrics on this album.

best song: Auf'm bahnhof zoo
Now i remembered another German band (but they also sing in English mostly i think).

Atari teenage riot
Atari teenage are damn good. No question..........If I was a brave radio host on BBC Radio 6, I would punt them.....It looks like your problem is the promotion of decent bands in GDR (or whatever your country code is) is lacking..... It does strike me in retrospect that nobody 'does' music quite like the Anglo sprechen countries......Different priorities?
@angrymonkey
My problem actually is (if you read all my nonsense above) is too much beer, combined with songs i know the lyrics of (or ones i can read or learn easily), together with my neighbours in the apartment building i live in don't mix together in 3am in the morning. So I figured out a solution - listen to music in non-English. And i really got a fan of this luftbalon song, so said to myself - why not German.

And yeah ATR are great, i had forgotten about them for a long time (since i last cared about revolutions and rebels and stuff)
But that Nina Hagen band that @FM NobodyReally recommended, and i've been listening on and off for the past week or so (without actually understanding the lyrics - still good), reminded me in a way about ATR so i had to put them there.
